The local residents, including Carolyn’s mother, doubt her discovery and blame it on her current state of mind. Rumours begin to spread.

Author Interview with Dan Clark:

If you could describe your book in one sentence what would it be?

A suspenseful thriller that hopefully, keeps the reader guessing.

Where did the inspiration for your book come from?

Always being an avid reader of thriller and crime fiction, I wanted to create my own characters with flaws and secrets of their own.

If you could recommend just one book to read, what would it be and why?

That’s a hard one! If I have to narrow it down, I would say thinner by Stephen king. I have always enjoyed the story.

Who are your favourite authors?

There are so many to choose from,  but the authors I feel most inspired by are: Stephen King, Ruth Ware, C.L. Taylor,Mark Edwards and Harlan Coben.

Is writing your only job? If not, what is your other job?

Unfortunately, no, I don’t write full time. During the day, I drive lorries. Being able to write full time is my dream and hopefully, one day I will.

What are you currently working on?

I’d love to say my current work in progress is going great. but, I am easily distracted and would usually start a new story! I am trying to stay more focused and concentrate on one project at a time, haha. Hopefully my next thriller will be out this year, it’s really hard to say!

About The Author:

Dan was born in the northwest of England. He started reading Stephen King from an early age and is still a committed fan today, believing this is what inspired him to start writing.

After leaving school, he studied Accounting before realising working with numbers wasn’t for him. He has done numerous jobs which include, working in retail, in busy restaurants as a Chef, driving a taxi and moving on to driving lorries.

Dan lives with his fiancé, Rachel, and easily annoyed cat, Burt. In his free time he loves to find a comfortable chair with a large cup of tea and read thriller and horror novels. He enjoys walking and being out in the countryside and devotes most of his time to his passion: writing his own stories.
